Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2006

The 47th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is going to take place October 26th to 30th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is an excellent time to be in Fort Lauderdale for day work with luxury yachts. It is best to arrive in Fort Lauderdale ahead of time because the boats need to be prepared for the Boat Show.

For more information, contact the Fort Lauderdale crew houses.

Yacht Jobs Web Site: Dayworker.eu.com

There is a new site for yacht crew called Dayworker.eu.com that lets you sign up for yacht day work jobs.

I haven't tried the site, but it's another resource to research if you are looking for yacht jobs in Antibes.

Workonaboat.com's Birthday

WorkOnABoat.com just turned a year old a couple of weeks ago!

In May 2005 I was walking down the street in front of a crew house in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was thinking about how much time I had spent in the late 1990's searching online for resources on how to work on boats.

Suddenly it occurred to me that I could create an online resource that would help people find information on how to work on boats. Many people do not realize that getting boat work is a real option and that it can pay very well.

Since this site was launched, WorkOnABoat.com has seen many thousands of visitors, and has helped at least several people get started with their first crewing position. I hope that there are many more who find something useful in this site. If you have a story to share, please post it in the forum in the lounge.

Stay tuned for more features and a new look coming soon.

Yacht Piracy

Noonsite.com has an interesting page about yacht piracy. There are still pirates in some parts of the world. These attacks generally only happen in certain locations which can be seen on this piracy map.
